The Goose

First of all, check out this little thing. Her hair is starting to come in finally and is blonde and pretty (read: no mullet so far). And her eyes are clearly not blue, but what color they'll end up being is still a mystery to us. Brown? Green? Hazel?

Now, on to the smiles. After months of staring at the darn camera every time it appeared, she now keeps the grins going. Can you see the mischief in her eyes? Gwen is full of it.
Some of her favorite activities include turning light switches on and off, climbing onto the dining room table then standing up and shaking the light fixture (while shaking her head "no"), ripping things, emptying things, climbing things, tasting things, opening things, drooling on things, pulling hair, waking up napping brothers, playing the piano in the women's meeting at church (specializing in duets), reading books, taking baths, dancing, standing on her head and babbling.

No, your eyes do not fool you. That is one long, skinny toddler.

Like everyone else in the family, Gwen loves to play outside. What could be more fun than an empty cardboard box?

She doesn't speak much, but we are beginning to hear more words from her, many of which only mom and dad would be able to understand. So far we've heard her say: Hi (hi-ya), Brenna (Enna), uh-oh, no, Mom, thank you (de doo), and peek a boo (de duh). She can also bark, meow, blubber like a fish, and make monkey sounds. Mind you, she says and does none of these very often. Most of the time she babbles on and on with full inflection and descriptive facial expressions, but no discernible words whatsoever.

If you haven't hung out with Gwen lately you are missing out!

She is adorable. It sounds like you have a female Nate on your hands. I love the height that your girls get.

Tall and skinny huh! Who would have thought that with Scott for a dad:) To bad we don't live closer I'm sure she and Grant could find a lot of trouble to get into.

She has grown so much in just a little while. Can't wait to see what she looks like in July.
